What if it Was You

from Songs For No One by Small Time 'Capone

lyrics

It’s Tuesday morning and we’re stuck here reading papers, clumped in piles scattered around the floor. I think it strange you always find it funny, to laugh at all the misfortune found there. What if it was you, what if it was you? Singing woah that’s my soul it’s dead and gone, singing woah there goes my soul it’s long gone. You say it’s all just part of a master plan, well I never remember agreeing to anything. To say this world is always set in stone, well i wonder how you can call this stone a home. They told me that I’d never make it out, well I gave them the pleasure of being wrong. You’ll look back on all of this and swear, that you never meant for anyone to care. Every time I try to hold it in it finds a way to begin once again. I always hear the worst is yet to come, but you'll never get to know if you go numb.
