Silhouettes

from Songs For No One by Small Time 'Capone

/

lyrics

This is the end my friend, it’s where you learn to give up and give in. So it slowly begins, tell us that we’re wrong until it sinks in. Mindless you stare blank at the pavement where we sank, for lack of a better word it was more than you deserved. So you think you’re funny now, but the way you explain yourself it just brings me down. I’m just a kickaround, but by the looks of it you’d think that you would never drown. And as the silhouettes fade away well we knew it was our time, time to walk it off. With our backs up against the wall you’ll rattle at our bones until it’s time to crawl. I’m thinking not at all, the way you move and feel it’s just like a thrall. This is how it all ends, this is why we pretend.
