lyrics

Woke up all alone on a Sunday morn there’s a note on the tv that reads “I’m so worn of the easy life”. Well the tea went cold from late last night when you awoke with fright and so I held you tight, but that’s the easy life. The old man sits with his cheshire grin telling you that you will never win, so you will just give in. One day you’ll say that you feel fine, so I’ll shake it off like it’s not my time, to take the fall. Everyone will smile and think the world, but after all of this is said and done, well they’ll shut you down. As the ghosts come hobbling home no place to roam will you welcome them with open arms, or slam the door. I think you’d slam the door. The broken glass it chased me across the floor and as the sky fell down well you asked for more. But I had gave it all. She said “don’t you know there’s more to this, you think it’s deserving of your broken fists?” Well I’d like to think not.
